A new Twitter service

I had an idea earlier about a new cool addition to twitter. I would like to see a service that allows a twitter user to send a message, "$VIX-add-15min", for example which would, in this example, subscribe them to 15 minute update service for the VIX. Also, within the tweet, from the service, a tinyurl could be embedded to a graph of the daily chart of the derivative (equity, whatever). Using tweetdeck one could create columns for each symbol and have the updates with prices in front of them without having to have open a trading platform. Obviously to remove, one send the tweet "$VIX-remove". This would disable updates to that person for the VIX. It would be more desirable if one could send tick updates, but thanks to bloomberg the data is proprietary.

One may extend the idea to portfolio updates. A service, like TOS, could allow twitter users to subscribe to portfolio updates via tweets. This kind of service would unlock a trader from sitting in front of their system all day. One could be mobile and still make plays, keep track of their portfolio, and receive updates on the stocks they are most interested in.
